Performance Energy Workshop February 16, 2019 – registration deposit
February 16, 2019, 10am-5pm.
Street parking available, easily accessible via transit.
In this one-day exploration, you’ll release old tensions and discover the power of your authentic voice.
Using both Fitzmaurice Voicework and Somatic Experiencing techniques, we will explore the relationship between the autonomic nervous system and the challenge of performance. We’ll experience physical release of body and breath, vibration and resonance, the energy of connection, empathy and availability, and the power of truth in the moment.
Wear soft, comfy clothes (no belts, buckles, straps etc – exercise clothes work well) and layers including warm socks. There are restaurants nearby, or you can bring a bag lunch. You will also need a cozy blanket, a small pillow, a yoga mat, a zafu (dense pillow for raising the pelvis 4-6 inches during floorwork, like this: http://binged.it/1ajp5g8) and some text or song to play with during exercises. You are welcome to bring a notebook and make notes.
Space is limited to just 8 participants.
Cost is on a need-based sliding scale of $75-$150. Your registration will be held with a $20USD DEPOSIT (roughly $25CAD) and you can pay the balance that feels appropriate to you in cash on the day.
