Performance Energy Workshop March 31
March 31, 2018, 10am-6pm.
Street parking available, easily accessible via transit.
In this one-day exploration, you’ll release old tensions and discover the power of your authentic voice.
Using both Fitzmaurice Voicework and Somatic Experiencing techniques, we will explore the relationship between the autonomic nervous system and the challenge of performance. We’ll experience physical release of body and breath, vibration and resonance, the energy of connection, empathy and vulnerability, and the power of truth in the moment.
Wear soft, comfy clothes (no belts, buckles, straps etc – exercise clothes work well) and layers including warm socks. There are restaurants nearby, or you can bring a bag lunch. You will also need a yoga mat, a zafu (dense pillow for raising the pelvis 4-6 inches during floorwork, like this: http://binged.it/1ajp5g8) and a song or two to play with during exercises. You are welcome to bring a notebook and make notes.
Space is limited to just 8 participants.
